I led the artistic direction and comanaged ethnographic interviews for the creation and production of a magazine commissioned by a century-old fishermen’s association. This initiative aimed to address the decline in the fishing population, promote sustainable fishing practices, and preserve traditions by passing them on to future generations. The project involved designing a compelling visual identity for the magazine, ensuring it resonated with the association’s heritage while appealing to a modern audience. I coordinated and conducted interviews with fishermen, community members, and experts, capturing their stories, practices, and challenges. These narratives formed the foundation of the magazine, weaving together cultural legacy and contemporary issues. Additionally, I collaborated with writers, designers, and photographers to produce high-quality content, ensuring that each element aligned with the association’s mission. The final product not only celebrated the rich history of the fishing community but also served as an educational and inspirational tool for younger generations.
